We’re doing a BzzBlast for Loki right now, it’s not available everywhere just yet, so it may not be on you’re my BzzHome page, but if you are one of those lucky Agents, you should go sign up!
What is Loki? Besides the God of Mischief in Norse mythology, Loki is a new tool you can download for use on either IE or FireFox and I must admit, it’s pretty cool. It works with Google maps to show you where things (or people) are that you are in relation to you using WiFi.
So why would anyone want to download this thing anyway? (And why do I love rhetorical questions so much?):
I traveled to Oregon a few weeks ago for a meeting and was craving Thai food, as soon as I got to my room and got online, I went to my Loki toolbar, and typed in ‘Thai restaurant’ – a second later the googlemap image showed me four Thai restaurants within blocks of me – I didn’t need a name or an address, Loki did it for me. Pretty cool.
Have you ever been on Hot or Not? I might find you! Loki has a direct link to Hot or Not, which provided some entertainment today when we went to that channel and it popped up with all the ‘Hot or Not’ people in my area.
Loki. It’s useful, entertaining, and free.
